Hello and welcome to Megan's Roots World! For those of you who have been reading my blog at its old address, thanks very much for joining me here. I just did a bit of a virtual move.
And for those who are encountering me for the first time, all you need to know is that I love to ramble on about just about anything even remotely related to genealogy and the roots-quest in general. Because I'm so obsessed with the topic, I see it just about everywhere I look.
So I'll be sharing lots of thoughts and links and observations. Feel free to comment if you find anything worthy of remark. I get a kick out of feedback. Let's me know I'm not just writing for myself!

Hate the interface that hides your blog inside an IFRAME. It prevents my browser from being able to find your Atom feed, and adds a superfluous scroll bar. Totally lousy interface design, but I suppose the advertisers will like it.
I was able to find your Atom feed and get rid of the extra scroll bars by opening the IFRAME in another window. But I'm a professional web developer and know how to do that sort of thing. I doubt most of your readers could say the same.
I hope that Roots Television reconsiders the design. It would be a shame to bury the excellent content I expect based on what I read at your Blogspot blog over the past several months in an interface that makes it impossible or at least extremely unpleasant to use.

Hi Megan,
Thought you could elude all of the clever bloggers using Bloglines or similar, didn't you?
I saw your video introducing the DNA talk - now I have a face and a voice to go along with the words and wisdom.
Does this mean that video on Roots TV is in your immediate future? I'll be looking for more content.
Cheers -- Randy

Hi Ralph and Randy,
My apologies for the difficulties with the Atom feed, etc. I confess that I don't even understand most of what you said, but I grasp that the new environment has created some unnecessary challenges. I'll ask around and see if anything can be done.
And Randy, thanks for coming along! Good to "see" you here. And yeah, I suspect you're going to see more of me.
Take care,
Megan
