Joe Canadian's a Genie!

I haven't seen the show yet myself, but apparently, Jeff Douglas -- the actor who used to portray Joe Canadian in the Molson beer ads -- is the host of the new Canadian genealogy series, Ancestors in the Attic. Sort of sounds as if he's the Ty Pennington of the show.

You can learn more by reading Family Made Fun, but I'd love to hear from anyone who's seen the show and can shed more light on it.

Lois:

I caught the first episode of "Ancestors in the Attic" on the History Channel. Very hip, edgy and kind of hyper presentation and aimed primarily at the uninitiated. Too flippant for my tastes. Mind you, I was sad while the show was annoyingly happy. I was sad because one of the experts featured in the show committed suicide a week or 2 before. Also, I take my family history at a slower pace so it was a jolt to see three case studies plus an expert panel jammed into a half hour TV programme.
