Back Again

By now, you probably think I've dropped off the face of the planet. Not so. Partly taking a little break, partly tending to some long-ignored tasks, and partly dealing with a (now thankfully resolved) medical scare concerning my husband. The last had to do with MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus), not to be confused with MRCA (Most Recent Common Ancestor) for those of you who are into genetic genealogy -- although MRSA can turn you into a MRCA, if you're not really careful.

But I'm back and seriously pumped about what 2007 may have to offer in the genealogical world. I've already played a little with the Hamburg Emigration records at Ancestry.com and some other fresh toys, and will be blogging about them, as well as my usual array of random topics.

So Happy 2007! Here's hoping you find dozens of relatives this year!

Megan,
It's nice to have you back. I'm glad your husband's medical issues have been resolved. Happy searching in 2007 :)

Megan:

Thanks, Joe. Good to be back!
